I Couldn't Help Myself

Today is the September 1st and is considered meteorological fall and the weather in Virginia had a fall like feel to it when I sipped my coffee on the back-porch. As I sat planning out my day I knew I had a few kits that needed to be cut and packaged...well....one of the patterns I had picked up recently was from PatchAbilities called Fall into Autumn...and...well...I couldn't help myself.

I only picked up a few of the patterns to kit up, it's always a crap-shoot when buying patterns and kitting them, I never know what will do well and what will flop. After I started pulling the wool for this pattern I knew I HAD TO cut one out. So this is how it all went...I knew I didn't want to piece a background, and I didn't have a wool that spoke to me but I did have this yarn-dyed cotton fabric and wouldn't ya know it, it is perfect. Once I pulled the wool, BTW the corn will have some cool stitching on it, I started checking out the leaves and thought...I'm pretty sure I have a die that is close to the pattern and thought, well if I'm gonna cut the leaves for my sample I needed to place them in the kit, so the kit has die-cut leaves. One thing led to another and the next thing I know I've traced the pattern, cut it out, pressed it to the background and now ready to stitch...so you see "I couldn't help myself"

If you are interested in the kit I only have 5 in stock and you can find them here
